SBA offers training on Women's Business Center grant applications

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will be holding roundtable training sessions at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Columbia and Charleston to help attendees better navigate applications for Women's Business Center grants.

The Columbia session will be held at the Benedict College Business Development Center, 2601 Read St., and the Charleston session will be at the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce – Catalyst Center, 4500 Leeds Ave., on the second floor. Best practices in applying for the SBA Women's Business Center grants will be discussed during the sessions.

Interested parties should contact the SBA South Carolina District Director at Richard.White@sba.gov or 803-253-3360, or the South Carolina District Office Public Information Officer at Savannah.Wilburn@sba.gov or 803-253-3121.

Grant applicants must register and obtain a certificate from SAM.gov. The SAM.gov certification process for SBA's Women's Business Centers can take up to 45 days, so it is recommended that potential applicants begin the registration process immediately.
