Census Bureau: More women than men in Lake Wylie in 2017

Of the 12,170 people living in Lake Wylie in 2017, 53.3 percent (6,484) were women and 46.7 percent (5,686) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Palmetto Business Daily.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 3,808-to-3,112. In the 65 years and over age range, there were 982 females and 833 males.
