Graduates earn 241 degrees, certificates from Northeastern Technical College


About 24.1 percent of the 241 degrees and certificates handed out by Northeastern Technical College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Cheraw conferred 31 certificates and 27 associate's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies. Data shows the school gave out 47 associate's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies, followed by 27 associate's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse and 21 associate's degrees in "other" multi-/interdisciplinary studies.

The college enrolled 1,063 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
