Graduates earn 682 degrees from Charleston Southern University


About 28.9 percent of the 682 degrees and certificates handed out by Charleston Southern University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Charleston conferred 106 bachelor's degrees and 91 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 65 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 39 bachelor's degrees in general psychology and 37 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences.

The university enrolled 3,492 students for 2017-18, including 3,061 in undergraduate programs and 431 in graduate programs.
