Graduates earn 1,358 degrees, certificates from Winthrop University


About 19.2 percent of the 1,358 degrees and certificates handed out by Winthrop University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Hill conferred 182 bachelor's degrees and 77 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 170 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 77 master's degrees in general business administration and management and 74 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences.

The university enrolled 6,073 students for 2017-18, including 5,014 in undergraduate programs and 1,059 in graduate programs.
