Graduates earn 114 degrees from Erskine College


About 20.2 percent of the 114 degrees and certificates handed out by Erskine College in 2017-18 were to students in biological and biomedical sciences programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in West conferred 23 bachelor's degrees in biological and biomedical sciences programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general biology/biological sciences. Data shows the school gave out 23 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences, followed by 19 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management and 11 master's degrees in divinity/ministry.

The college enrolled 694 students for 2017-18, including 575 in undergraduate programs and 119 in graduate programs.
