Graduates earn 6,571 degrees, certificates from Clemson University


About 23.4 percent of the 6,571 degrees and certificates handed out by Clemson University in 2017-18 were to students in engineering programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Clemson conferred 905 bachelor's degrees and 324 master's degrees in engineering programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 293 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 284 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences and 247 bachelor's degrees in general psychology.

The university enrolled 24,387 students for 2017-18, including 19,402 in undergraduate programs and 4,985 in graduate programs.
