The U.S. Small Business Administration recently reminded private-nonprofit (PNP) organizations in South Carolina that applications for Economic Injury Disaster Loan damages caused by 2018's Hurricane Florence are due July 16.
PNPs may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application via the Small Business Administration’s website at DisasterLoan.sba.gov.
Non-critical PNPs may be eligible to apply for low-interest rate disaster loans. These organizations do not provide critical services of a governmental nature and it includes, but not limited to, food kitchens, libraries, community centers and schools.
PNP organizations in Berkeley, Calhoun, Chesterfield, Clarendon, Colleton, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Lancaster, Marion, Marlboro and Williamsburg counties in South Carolina are eligible to apply.
The SBA identifies loan amounts and terms based on each applicant’s financial state. PNP organizations would need to apply on or before July 16 to be considered for the assistance.
