5.5 percent of Francis Marion University students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 5.5 percentage of Francis Marion University students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Francis Marion University has 3,460 undergraduate students, of which 68 percent are women and 32 percent are men, and a total student body of 3,786 students. Of these students, 113 men and 94 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Francis Marion University with the most participants are soccer (44), all track combined (44) and baseball (38).
