2.5 percent of Clemson University students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 2.5 percentage of Clemson University students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Clemson University has 19,402 undergraduate students, of which 51 percent are men and 49 percent are women, and a total student body of 24,387 students. Of these students, 315 men and 289 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Clemson University with the most participants are all track combined (196), football (121) and rowing (94).
