Delta Airlines will have daily flights from Hilton Head Island to Atlanta starting May 24.
“As the leading carrier in the Southeast, Delta will be bringing its award-winning customer service to Hilton Head,” Joe Esposito, Delta’s senior vice president for network planning, said. “The new flights to Atlanta, the industry’s leading airline hub, as well as the New York flight, will connect Hilton Head to the world.”
The first flight from Hilton Head Island will depart at 7:30 a.m. and arrive at 8:40 a.m. in Atlanta.
Additionally, a seasonal Saturday flight to New York-LaGuardia will begin by June 8.
The Hilton Head flights from both Atlanta and LaGuardia will be on Delta’s 69-seat Embraer 170 aircraft with seating for nine in First Class, 20 in Delta Comfort+ and 40 in the main cabin in an all aisle and window seat configuration. The cabin provides large overhead bins, free in-flight entertainment through Delta Studio, and WiFi access.
Currently, Delta serves Charleston, Columbia, Myrtle Beach and Greenville/Spartanburg in the Palmetto State.
