The State Transportation Infrastructure Bank has approved the amended agreement to fund the completion of the Mark Clark Expressway, which was likewise approved by the Charleston County Council.
Once the Mark Clark Expressway is complete, it will primarily help the community by offering a safe evacuation route. Commuters will also be able to get to and from work safely and more efficiently, improving the quality of the residents’ lives while facilitating the region’s economic growth.
The Charleston Chamber of Commerce is very grateful to everyone who has supported the project since the beginning and those who have championed it through the years. Credits was specifically given to Gov. Henry McMaster, Council Chairman Elliott Summey, Councilman Brantley Moody, and Council Chairman Vic Rawl.
