The Hub City Press has recently released its newest version of the “Underground Guide to Spartanburg.”

Though copies of Volumes 1 and 2 are still available, the “Underground Guide to Spartanburg: Volume 2.5” contains the most updated, unexpected places to go to inside Spartanburg County.

The 2018 edition has 30 new entries that readers will be surprised to learn. The 112-page guidebook is divided into the following sections: nightlife, eats, arts, outside, shopping and odds & ends.

The guidebook was made for both locals and visitors to point them to where to bring families and friends during holidays or even on weekdays. It is also great for those who have not visited Spartanburg for a while.

You’ll get to discover places to enjoy late night music, bike trails, parks, and LGBT-friendly clubs. It also recommends restaurants -- including those that serve food under $50.

Funded by the City of Spartanburg and the Spartanburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, the guide is a great way to get yourself acquainted with Spartanburg County’s hidden treasures. It's also been used by companies welcoming new employees and for school orientations.
