The Greenville Chamber held its annual BBQ Bash Oct. 4 in appreciation of Upstate manufacturers.
This 16th annual celebration was held at the Greenville Technical College Center for Manufacturing Innovation (CMI).
About 400 attendees were on hand for this event honoring manufacturers who choose to do business in the Upstate. Celebrating with the manufacturers and other expected attendees were staffing professionals, suppliers and other service providers.
Aside from enjoying their barbecue and networking, attendees witnessed robotics demonstrations from high school students and tours of CMI.
The annual event is an avenue to show gratitude to the manufacturers and a way to educate the community about the impact of and the opportunity provided by the manufacturing sector.
The Chamber also marked National Association of Manufacturers Manufacturing Day on Oct. 5 by partnering with Greenville County Schools and Greenville Technical College to present Upstate manufacturing opportunities to high school seniors.
