The Columbia Chamber will honor deserving individuals at its upcoming Annual Gala.
Set for Oct. 4 at 6 p.m., the event will be hosted by BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
Former AT&T South Carolina President Pamela Lackey will receive the 2018 Ambassador of the Year award. Lackey was responsible for establishing the state’s first broadband network that provides high-speed internet services to schools and libraries.
Erin McCaskill of First Citizens will be awarded the 2018 Young Professional of the Year, while Sheriff Leon Lott of Richland County Sheriff’s Department will receive this year’s Public Servant of the Year.
Eli Wishart of ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve) will receive the 2018 Military Advocate of the Year, and Leanna Lee of Inn at USC will receive this year’s Diplomat of the Year.
