To identify barriers to workforce participation and career improvement, the Workforce Data Collaborative will conduct employer and employee surveys within the Brookfield/Mauldin area.

The survey will be available until Oct. 5 in English and Spanish.

The Workforce Data Collaborative (WDC) was created in April as an effort to improve Greenville’s economic development. Previously, the WDC found transportation, child care, affordable housing, and criminal records as the four major barriers to Greenville’s employment and career development.

“It’s imperative that employers and employees alike take the survey to inform efforts to remove workforce barriers and help prioritize solutions,” Greenville Chamber President and CEO Carlos Phillips said. "This survey will help business and community leaders make informed decisions to expand the labor pool and build a stronger workforce.”

The results of the survey will be shared with policymakers and business leaders to help come up with solutions.
