The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber’s Business Diversity Council will host a two-part Minority Certification Workshop on Sept. 6 and 20.

The workshop will help business owners in the application process for acquiring business certifications owned by minority groups. These certifications are useful in securing government projects.

The process will be applied through the South Carolina Department of Transportation, Small Business Administration, National Veteran Business Development Council, and Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.

The workshop will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon both days. Participants should be a member of the minority community, including women, who own and control at least 51 percent of a business.
