The Columbia Chamber’s Leadership Columbia program will graduate 61 business and community leaders this year.
The program is comprised of a 10-month training program that involves monthly class sessions, a retreat, a class project and other enrichment activities.
“The Chamber’s Leadership Columbia program continues to attract a higher caliber of applicants each year,” Columbia Chamber President and CEO Carl Blackstone said. “These bright individuals will go on to have a tremendous impact in our region.”
Chair of the Leadership Columbia Advisory Board for 2018-2019 Hilary Dyer Brannon called the graduates “a truly outstanding group of dynamic individuals.”
“This class has already shown their commitment to lead and become change-agents for our community, and we are excited to welcome them to the Leadership Columbia network,” Brannon said.
Class members were selected based on application and interview scores. The selection criteria included leadership potential, civic involvement, commitment to the program and diversity of perspective.
Since the program began in 1972, there have been over 2,000 graduates.
