Benedict College enrolls 2,090 undergrads


At Benedict College, 92 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 51 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Columbia enrolled 2,090 students in fall 2017, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 4.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

58 percent of undergraduates are residents of South Carolina, and 40 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (96 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (2 percent).
