Midlands Technical College enrolls 10,625 undergrads


At Midlands Technical College, 65 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 60 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year public institution in West Columbia enrolled 10,625 students in fall 2017, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 10.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of South Carolina, and 5 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (47 percent) and Black or African American (35 percent).
