The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (CMCC PAC) has endorsed Jenny Costa Honeycutt for District 9 in the upcoming Charleston County Council election.
“Jenny Costa Honeycutt understands that limited investment in public infrastructure has negatively impacted the quality of life for residents of James Island and the whole region," CMCC PAC Chairman Chappy McKay said. "That’s why she enthusiastically supports completion of the Mark Clark Expressway and is willing to work for solutions to complete other infrastructure priorities.”
Honeycutt, a James Island native, is an attorney and an advocate of individual property rights and smart planning. She said she aims to serve her constituents in District 9 and embraces the core values of choice, balance and stewardship as per the Chamber’s Sustainable Growth Ethic. She also supports a strong business climate and infrastructure investment.
Prior to the official endorsement of Honeycutt, candidates completed a questionnaire and underwent interviews with the CMCC PAC members. Topics ranged from key issues faced by the county to the metro region’s infrastructure, long-range planning and housing attainability.
