About 37.6 percent of the 460 degrees and certificates handed out by the Aiken Technical College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Graniteville conferred 104 certificates and 69 associate's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 58 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 54 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse and 37 certificates in Lineworker.

The college enrolled 2,459 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
