About 27.9 percent of the 757 degrees and certificates handed out by the Anderson University in 2016-17 were to students in Education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Anderson conferred 113 master's degrees and 98 bachelor's degrees in Education programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Data shows the school gave out 92 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, followed by 69 master's degrees in Education, General and 42 master's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General.

The university enrolled 3,432 students for 2016-17, including 2,944 in undergraduate programs and 488 in graduate programs.
