Graduates earn 840 degrees, certificates from Florence-Darlington Technical College


About 27.1 percent of the 840 degrees and certificates handed out by the Florence-Darlington Technical College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Florence conferred 166 associate's degrees and 62 certificates in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Data shows the school gave out 103 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, followed by 77 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies and 46 certificates in Welding Technology/Welder.

The college enrolled 6,003 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
