Graduates earn 731 degrees, certificates from Spartanburg Community College


About 24.4 percent of the 731 degrees and certificates handed out by the Spartanburg Community College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Spartanburg conferred 100 certificates and 78 associate's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 153 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 78 associate's degrees in Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies, Other and 40 certificates in Welding Technology/Welder.

The college enrolled 4,715 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
