Spartanburg's City News Podcast has introduced co-host Meghan Smith.

A local resident, Smith will take over former City Communications Manager Will Rothschild’s vacated spot, and will share her passion for people and her city. Smith is expected to help take the City News Podcast back to its roots, bringing back the engaged local resident's perspective.

With Rothschild's departure, it had become a one-man show, hosted by Christopher George.

The City News Podcast started more than five years ago with two main objectives: to help listeners learn about the people behind their local government and to hear these people explain why Spartanburg mattered to them.

Along with some technical improvements through the years, plus the introduction of Smith as co-host, producers hope to bring back the podcast’s fresh and knowledge-rich content.
