In response to the recent school shooting in Parkland, Florida, Charleston County School District (CCSD) issued a memo on behalf of its Security and Emergency Management on the day following the tragedy.
This memo reminds school principals to review the district’s emergency protocol. All students and staff also received a hard copy of an informational document that summarizes the safety measures the district has put in place.
In an effort to continuously prioritize the safety of its students, CCSD will review its emergency plan and keep it as up-to-date as possible in light of the Parkland incident. The district says the safety of its students and staff is its highest priority, and it remains dedicated to that priority.
