The Kolache Factory recently opened its newest bakery/café in Powdersville at 3609 Highway 153, between the Spinx gas station and Miracle Hill Store.

The 1,700-square-foot facility meets customers’ needs for fresh products and quick service. The Kolache Factory also offers call-ahead and online ordering, a drive-thru and a full-service coffee bar.

The company, whose headquarters are in Katy, Texas, was founded in 1982 in Houston by John and Jerri Banks to offer various fresh pastries for individuals, families and larger groups.

It was ranked among the Top 5 drive-thrus in America by Food Network, the Top 50 national bakeries by Modern Baking magazine, the Top 200 food-based franchises by Entrepreneur magazine, and “one of the 300 biggest brands in franchising by worldwide sales” by Franchise Times magazine.

Businessman Dean Lord plans to open three more Kolache Factory locations in Greenville.
