Children's Theater perfomance honors black history

In honor of Black History Month, the Cultural Arts Department of North Charleston showed a Children’s Theater performance on Feb. 2.

In honor of Black History Month, the Cultural Arts Department of North Charleston showed a Children’s Theater performance on Feb. 2. 

The Bright Star Touring Theatre group presented Black History Heroes, Soldiers & Spies, which celebrates various African American heroes. These heroes include Col. Charles Young and other Buffalo Soldiers, the Tuskegee Airmen, and Mary Elizabeth Bowser.

The Bright Star Touring Theatre, based in Asheville, North Carolina, is celebrating 15 years of performing for young audiences. For more information about their interactive shows, visit www.brightstartheatre.com.
