ProTrans opens Spartanburg facility, hires 20 employees

ProTrans recently opened its 230,000-square-foot warehouse and office building at GSP International Logistics Park in Spartanburg County, which the third-party logistics company says will help support its growing customer base.

ProTrans recently opened its 230,000-square-foot warehouse and office building at GSP International Logistics Park in Spartanburg County, which the third-party logistics company says will help support its growing customer base.

CenterPoint Properties developed the facility, which includes 6,600 square feet of office space, a 2,900-square-foot warehouse office as well as a driver check-in space.

According to CenterPoint, ProTrans' new facility will also feature 60-foot speed bays, 88 dock doors, two drive-in doors and 137 trailer positions in addition to 80 customer and employee parking spaces. 

“ProTrans is proud to partner with CenterPoint Properties in the Greer market,” ProTrans Chief Commerce Officer Shawn Masters said in a press release. “While we have had a presence for years in Greer, our new facility will bring significant efficiencies to support our growing customer base and service offerings. Pro Trans is cementing our roots in the area for years to come.”

According to a spokesperson for ProTrans, the company has hired 20 employees for its new facility.

ProTrans, founded in 1993, has 24 facilities throughout the U.S. The company supports manufacturing markets from the Midwest to Texas and in Mexico.
