Featuring fresh seafood, live entertainment and gifts galore, Little River’s annual World Famous Blue Crab Festival is now accepting applications from potential vendors and sponsors for its two-day 2018 fair slated May 19-20.

The traditional award-winning waterfront street fair attracts approximately 50,000 attendees yearly. The event is one of the largest and oldest of its kind in the Grand Strand, according to the Little River Chamber of Commerce. Not only does it offer a wide variety of vendors, but it is further distinguished by the fact that many visitors return year after year specifically to find preferred vendors.

Festival social media coordinator Izzy West observed that many attendees contact him to track down past vendors in hopes of attaining repeat purchases.

"From spas to cars to satellite TV, our many business vendors tell me they get great leads from us," he said.

The event has earned “Best Annual Event/Festival on the Grand Strand” status from Sun News readers for numerous years. Officials encourage local businesses to enhance their public presence and increase marketing potential by signing up for sponsorship opportunities. Choices range from social media tags to printed advertising displays on event literature and products.

Fair personnel noted that sponsors desiring publicity opportunities should contact organizers by April 6. To obtain further information on the World Famous Blue Crab Festival, contact the Little River Chamber of Commerce at 843-249-6604 or download the event application at BlueCrabFestival.org.
