Leadership Columbia reveals membership for boards

Leadership Columbia, a 10-month educational program developed by the Columbia Chamber, recently announced the members comprising its advisory board and an alumni association board  for 2017-18. 

The advisory board strives to strengthen the Leadership Columbia program itself, helping to guarantee that the participants acquire important leadership skills. The alumni board works to keep previous Leadership Columbia enrollees in touch with the needs of the immediate community as well.

“Both advisory boards are essential in the development of young leaders in Columbia,” Columbia Chamber President and CEO Carl Blackstone said. “The Leadership Columbia Advisory and Alumni Advisory Boards strengthen the connectivity between its members and the Chamber, thus developing a more capable bench of talent of the region.”

Board members’ fields range from health and human services, education, community and media industries to services such as finance, design and construction, charities and more.

The Leadership Columbia Advisory Board of 2017-18 includes Zach Alford, Hilary Brannon, Maudra Brown, DeAnna Bookert, Jesse Bullard, Murray Coleman, Josh Elliott, Tammie Epps, Anna Fender, Austin Gawler, Kiosha Boyles, Kristin Hudson, Rania Jamison, Claire Jones, Jason Langdale, Allison Lee, David Looper, Amanda Loveday, Taylor Miller, Marshall Minton, Joe Neary, Ryan Newton, Matthew Pollard, Rachel Popkowski, Kirk Randazzo and Annie Scott.

The Leadership Columbia Alumni Association Advisory Board of 2017-18 includes Allen Bridgers, Peyton Bryant, Terry Buchmann, John Cadena, Kyle Carlson, Renee Chow, Tina Emerson, Ryan Hyler, Will Johnson, Heather McDonald, Kim McMahon, Brian Morris, Ryan Newton, Henry Simons and Season Zeigler.
