The City of Palmetto is wrapping up the 2017 budget and the events of the past year, and looking forward to the plans of 2018.
In preparation for the new year, the city is putting together the 2018 Legislative Survey and agenda.
Over the last several months, the Upstate Chamber Coalition has met throughout the state to talk to businesses about how legislation can be approved upon for the upcoming fiscal year. The feedback from the sessions has been turned into a survey that will help gather information on further issues. The survey was open to the public, in order to receive feedback on what is affecting residents.
The Chamber asked for residents participation in the survey. Every day, bills are voted on that affect the lives of the citizens of Palmetto. This year’s survey addressed Taxes and Regulations, Legal Reform, DACA, workforce expansion, and much more.
