BB&T Fall for Greenville will sponsor its annual "A Taste of Our Town," a traditional downtown celebration with entertainment and food, Oct. 13-15 featuring vendors and musicians galore.

The long weekend will launch with a free concert the evening of Oct. 12, followed by three days of additional music, tasting events, craft beer, children’s activities, carnival rides, demonstrations and competition — such as best entrée and dessert entries vying for the US Foods “Silver Spoon” and “Sugary Spoon” awards — with over 47 food vendors

Interactive mobile tours highlighting new vehicles; candy samples and more also await festival attendees. Tickets may be purchased online until Oct. 11 or at two local venues: Soby’s on the Side, 22 E. Court St., and Dapper Ink, 207 Wade Hampton Blvd., through Oct. 13.

Out-of-town guests can book lodging and visitors and locals alike can find a full schedule of events at fallforgreenville.net. Festival hours are 5-11 p.m. Oct. 13; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 14; and noon to 7 p.m. on Oct. 15.

"A Taste of Our Town" has been recognized as a Top 20 event by the Southeast Tourism Society, a nonprofit membership organization based in Georgia. BB&T Fall for Greenville itself partners with local nonprofits and has contributed over $500,000 to area charities over the last decade.
