The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce recently honored the best places to work in the state with a special banquet presented by Colonial Life at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

“South Carolina is full of great places to work because our employers across the state understand what it takes to attract and keep good people,” South Carolina Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Ted Pitts said. “Our South Carolina business community is only as good as the companies that are part of it, and this list is a strong showing of how many topnotch workplaces there are in the state.”

The best small-to-midsized company to work for is Advoco Inc. of Greenville, according to the chamber's list of awards recipients. This category is for companies with 15 to 249 employees. The winner in the large employer category is Edward Jones of Florence. The large employer category is for companies with 250 or more employees.
