The 11th Annual Wando Gateway Engineering Camp for females entering high school started today.
The hands-on camp will show campers how to use CAD, or computer-aided design, to create 3D keychain medallions. Boeing SC engineers will also be on hand for a glider competition in which campers can build and test their own gliders.
The camp takes place at Wando High School in Room H129 and the gymnasium, 1000 Warrior Way, Mount Pleasant. This week's events focus on glider construction from 12:30-3:30 p.m. today and a glider competition Friday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The media is welcome to attend.
For more information about the camp or glider competition, please contact Wando engineering teacher David Roemer at 843-856-5800, ext. 27385 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
