BB&T has signed on as the title sponsor for the Fall for Greenville festival in October.
“BB&T is pleased to support Fall for Greenville and provide the opportunity for others to experience all the wonderful events and activities offered by our community,” Jon Chilton, BB&T Greenville market president, said. “This is another way we fulfill our mission to help make the communities in which we work a better place to live and underscores our commitment to the Greenville area.”
The festival begins Oct. 12 with a free concert at the Peace Center Stage on the River. It continues through the weekend with top local restaurants offering more than 200 menu items. Many other free concerts will take place during the weekend on six stages. Carolina Ale House Beer Garden will offer a variety of craft brews; a wine garden area will showcase fine wines, and a culinary stage will also show cooking demonstrations. An area just for the kids will feature rides and activities.
Tickets go on sale online Aug. 4 and can be used any day of the festival to buy food, beverages, merchandise and ride tickets.
The festival is considered a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society. In the last 10 years, the festival donated more than $500,000 to local nonprofits.
