Greenville-based Southern Tide plans to open three new signature stores in North Carolina in the coming months, with Raleigh and Asheville locations opening in summer and a Wilmington location opening in fall.
Another store, hosted within Shift in Nantucket, opened just before Memorial Day.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be expanding our signature store strategy," CEO Christopher Heyn said. "The new retail fronts are focal points for each local community through their consumer engagement and community activities. We are proud to align ourselves with wholesale partners who have great knowledge of the local markets. Southern Tide is sold across the country, but we never want to forget our Southern heritage."
Heyn said the new locations give a nod to a celebration of Southern style embodying an authentic, active and classic point of view.
"Our new signature stores are all based in terrific communities that have immense opportunity for our brand," he said. "This retail expansion shows our continued growth across the country.”
The look and style of each store will mirror the company's lifestyle and nautical heritage. Branded skiffs hung from the ceiling and skipjack fish will be used as decor in each location.
The Raleigh shop will be in North Hills. Because of a strong college student population, the store will also carry Southern Tide game day items.
