The Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd's Florence shareholder John Scott has graduated from this year's Leadership South Carolina program.
Scott was among 54 individuals taking part in the leadership program, noted as the oldest statewide program of its kind. LSC offers a chance for individuals to improve leadership qualities while gaining more understanding of issues facing the state.
"From prestigious training programs like these to being good stewards in our community, a commitment to leadership is part of our culture," Nick Nicholson, managing director for the firm, said. "We congratulate John on this must-deserved honor, and we look forward to seeing how he applies this training in Florence and beyond."
Leadership South Carolina provides gifted and highly motivated South Carolinians an opportunity to advance their leadership qualities while broadening their understanding of state issues.
"Leadership South Carolina gave me an in-depth look at not only some of the things about our state that make it an incredible place to live, work and raise a family, but also the challenges we have here in South Carolina and how different groups are trying to address them on a daily basis," Scott said.
Scott is a tax attorney serving businesses and individuals and was chosen by peers as one of "The Best Lawyers in America 2017" for tax law and trusts and estate law.
