Dee Taylor, a commercial account executive in business development at Atlantic Broadband, is the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce's recipient of 2017’s first Ambassador of the Quarter Award.

The award recognizes an outstanding member of the nearly 60-person ambassador team that goes above and beyond the regular scope of duty in commitment to the chamber and its members. Taylor was tapped for what Valeri Thomas-Umsted, 2017 Chamber Ambassador chair, called her “willingness to volunteer with local businesses in our community,” and her “passion for our community and the Aiken Chamber as a whole.”

Chamber ambassadors play an integral role in the business organization and carry a great deal of responsibility. The 56 ambassadors with the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce act as the primary liaisons for the group, assisting new members by both explaining the benefits of membership and helping them to network and engage in Chamber activities.

Chamber President and CEO David Jameson presented the award to Taylor during the April First Friday Means Business breakfast.

“Dee is an excellent communicator of the Chamber’s mission. We are proud to have her on our team and appreciate the commitment she demonstrates to promoting the Aiken business community,” he said.
