Myrtle Beach’s 94.5 "The Tide” radio station has kicked off a new partnership with Ultimate Pet Services owner Bridgett Hudson to raise adoptable pets’ profiles with a regular segment called “Best Friend of the Week.”
Every Tuesday, the station’s “Nick in the Morning” show will feature one available pet from a local shelter, rescue or humane society with the hope of achieving higher adoption rates for these pets.
Hudson, who also performs volunteer work with the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach (HSNMB), co-chairs the HSNMB Adoption Ambassador Program.
The local Humane Society recently obtained a grant from the ASPCA to launch a foster program in conjunction with its Adoption Ambassador initiative. The organization is currently in need of potential foster families for the area’s many cats and dogs in need of rehoming.
Ultimate Pet Services offers all pet-sitting services from mid-day walking, taxi service, overnight sitting, waste pickup, and even hotel/vacation rental sitting.
WYEZ FM, or “The Tide,” is Myrtle Beach’s only adult contemporary radio station.
