Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce advocacy team member George Ramsey recently earned the distinction of Honorary Commander through Joint Base Charleston’s Honorary Commanders program, which forges connections between the local military and civilian communities.
"I am excited and humbled to be selected as an Honorary Commander," Ramsey said. "I look forward to learning more about the mission of Joint Base Charleston, our military leaders who serve and sharing my experiences in this program with our community."
The Chamber prioritizes forging bonds between the military and the community, seeking to support servicemembers and their families and to expand the military presence in the area.
"It's an honor and privilege to be part of the Honorary Commanders program," Chief Master Sergeant Todd Cole, Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 628th Air Base Wing, said. "It makes me proud to be part of such a wonderful community who supports its military and fosters long-lasting relationships."
Other Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce members who have earned recognition for their leadership in local and regional community affairs are Chief Advancement Officer Mary Graham, Vice President of Local Area Programs Sean Tracey and Charleston Young Professionals Director Erica Wright.
