Charleston County School of the Arts recently hosted  a “Jog for Johnson” running event in support of Academic Magnet High School coach Brian Johnson, who was diagnosed with leukemia late last year.

Johnson has since undergone chemotherapy and a bone-marrow transplant, according to Charleston County School District officials.

The event was just one of the ways the community is trying to help him offset the costs of his recovery. For more information, contact Principal Dr. Shannon Cook at Shannon_cook@charleston.k12.sc.us.
