Wood floor manufacturer moves into new Aiken County facility

Stephen Gamble Historic Floors and Finishes will be opening its new facility in Aiken County.

The development is expected to bring $2.5 million of capital investment and lead to the creation of 24 new jobs, officials said.

Located at 267 Moore Road in Aiken, the company plans to convert several existing structures into production space. Expected to be operational by January 2018, hiring for the new positions will begin this year.

"South Carolina is proudly leading the manufacturing renaissance, and the addition of Stephen Gamble Historic Floors and Finishes is a testament of that," Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt said.  "I congratulate this great company on their $2.5 million investment and am excited to watch them succeed in Aiken County for years to come.”
