The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce has expressed its pleasure with the passing of H.3516, a comprehensive infrastructure funding bill.
The bill is expected to gain final approval by the House and move to the Senate.
"The House understands the impact the deplorable condition of our roads has on our citizens, economic development efforts and ultimately jobs," Ted Pitts, CEO of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, said.
"This proposal represents the long-term solution the business community has been calling for by providing additional reform at SCDOT and investment in our state’s infrastructure. We commend the leadership of the 97 House members that supported this solution, now the Senate needs to get to work and finish the job on the roads.”
