SBDC to present workshop on government contract opportunities

The Small Business Development Center is presenting a workshop for small business owners on how to prepare a business to bid on and receive government contract opportunities from 2-4 p.m. Monday at First Citizens Bank on Ashley Phosphate Road in North Charleston.

The Small Business Development Center is presenting a workshop for small business owners on how to prepare a business to bid on and receive government contract opportunities from 2-4 p.m. Monday at First Citizens Bank on Ashley Phosphate Road in North Charleston.

The workshop will show participants how to properly register a company, submit applications for certifications, find work, seek information prior to submitting a proposal, and review key indicators, officials said.

Leading the workshop will be Linda Blanton, a procurement specialist with the SBDC. Blanton was a contracting officer for 35 years with the federal government.
