The Tutoring Center, Greenville's newest supplemental educational facility, held a ribbon-cutting recently.

The Tutoring Center offers programs from phonics to AP calculus, including reading, writing, mathematics, study skills, pre-SAT and AP math.

Its patented “Rotational Approach to Learning” program was created by educational psychologist, Dr. Edward Thalheimer, to help children build academic skills, improve concentration span, and develop self-esteem and confidence, said Morgan Stone, owner and center director of The Tutoring Center

Using the Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement, The Tutoring Center tests each child (at no charge to the family) to find out their skill level, giving them the ability to then create a customized program for each individual child with a predictable outcome, Stone said.
