Carver Companies, a group of manufacturing and construction companies, will be expanding its Charleston County operations, expecting to bring $13 million of new capital investment, which will lead to the creation of 22 new jobs.
Located on the former U.S. Naval Base at 1210 Truxtun Ave. in North Charleston, the company has already begun pier dredging and building renovations.
“I am humbled by the hospitality shown by the Charleston business community, as well as the state and local economic development folks here in the greater Charleston area," Carver Companies President Carver Laraway said. "We look forward to developing a long and mutually-beneficial relationship with both, as Carver Companies continues to grow and bring more jobs to South Carolina."
Hiring for the new positions is underway, and interested applicants should visit the company’s careers page online at https://carverstone.com/career-opportunities.
“The fact that Carver Companies has chosen to expand in South Carolina and continue to invest in our people is something for our state to be proud of," Gov. Henry McMaster said. "This sends a signal to the whole world that our state is open for business.”
