Aiken Chamber of Commerce unveils new online job board

The Aiken Chamber of Commerce's new online job board, aikenchamber.net, is now available.

Chamber members are now able to post jobs and gain exposure to individuals looking for jobs in the area. Job seekers are able to ac­cess information about jobs available with the Chamber’s 1,000-plus members.

Each listing includes information about the job and details about how to apply for a position.

According to the 2015 Regional Workforce Study conducted by the Savannah River Site Community Re­use Organization, Aiken, Allendale and Barnwell counties in South Carolina and Columbia and Richmond counties in Geor­gia are expected to average about 7,500 job openings annually between 2014 and 2019.

“We are taking one more step in the regional effort to ensure that connections are being made between employers and the work­force with the release of a Chamber Job Board,” Chamber Board Member Julie Whitesell said. “It’s a simple way to allow our members to stretch their recruiting net for talent and for our local workforce to make connections."
