ScanSource POS and Barcode, a company based in Greenville that provides automatic identification and data capture services, recently received additional certification from the PCI Security Standards Council for allowing Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) certified key injections at its standalone key injection facility.
“Very few companies in the United States are P2PE-certified standalone key injection facilities, and we are excited to hold this unique certification,” Paul Constantine, president of ScanSource POS and Barcode, said in a statement. “We are proud to be able to supply complete product offerings and additional resources to our customers – furthering our commitment to be a total solutions provider.”
With the new certification, ScanScource can deliver key injections at its facility for P2PE solution providers. P2PE solutions combine secure devices, process and applications that encrypt data as it moves from one point of interaction to the final end-user environment. ScanSource’s certification proves the company meets necessary requirements for protecting data through the process.
“Becoming P2PE certified allows us to perform key injection services on all related payment terminal hardware, to better provide for our customers with improved service offerings through both our Custom Configuration Center and key injection facility,” Constantine said.
